Грузинская песня (Canción georgiana)
Три сестры (Tres hermanas)
До свидания, мальчики (Hasta la vista, muchachos)
По Смоленской дороге (Por el camino de Smolensk)
Bulat Okudzhava
I heard plural music at different places, and I still remember that concert that happened just here, at the school. I was then one of the happy few.
The minstrel was a Russian poet who started to sing just for friends, in a time when living and singing were difficult. His tunes talked about the Arbat, about soldiers coming from war, about Pushkin and Villon, about a little girl that cries for her balloon, about three sisters whose names were Vera (Faith), Nadezhda (Hope) and Liubov (Love). People liked them, and he became popular all along the country, even abroad.
He appeared on the stage - an old man, tall and slim. First, he spoke to the public about his work, family and homeland, with an elegant mixture of fine irony and inner sadness. Then, taking a Spanish guitar, he said this would be his last concert, and started to sing or, better, to recite those old songs, full of bravure and beauty.

NEIL INNES
CÉZANNE SAYS ANNE
Gif: Neil Innes como Ron Nasty ("John Lennon"), de The Rutles.
Annie went to art school
At the age of seventeen
Her drawings in a folio
To keep them looking clean
Her tutors all agreed
She had a certain "je ne sais quoi"
With her Modigliani body
And her face by Renoir
"I like Cezanne," says Anne,
"He does something for me.
I like Cezanne," says Anne,
"It's not what you see.
The power of nature
Is something to feel.
I like Cezanne," says Anne,
"To me he's surreal."
They showed her Botticelli
Rembrandt, Bruegel, Ernst and Braques
And talked of chiaroscuro
Or the use of light and dark
But all they really wanted
Was to get her into bed
And everytime they tried at dawn,
This is what she said:
"I like Cezanne," says Anne,
"He does something for me.
I like Cezanne," says Anne,
"It's not what you see.
The power of nature
Is something to feel.
"I like Cezanne," says Anne,
"To me he's surreal."
Time went by so slowly
As in any school of art
She was all alone
Until the day she lost her heart
To a shy and gentle student
Whose name happened to be Paul
And so they hung their drawings
Side by side upon the wall
"I like Cezanne," says Anne,
"He does something for me.

"It's not what you see.
